Supporting Refugee Families

RBC is one of the founding churches of ACCA. ACCA has approved funding to partner with Lutheran Social Services (LSS) to support a refugee family for one year.

A small group of members and staff from ACCA churches are working to educate the community and recruit the 25-30 volunteers needed to support a family that will be resettling to our local community.

As a first step, three ACCA congregations are hosting a film series to illustrate the challenges faced by these families. Each film includes dinner cooked by a recently resettled family, from their native cuisine; and a discussion panel following the film.
