I've posted a few times about the water protector protests at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in North Dakota. Peaceful protesters have been faced with both official and unofficial intimidation from the government and from the oil company intent on building a pipeline near the reservation. Earlier this month, clergy from across the country converged at Standing Rock to stand in solidarity with the protesters. This podcast, from the National Council of Churches, gives an informative overview of both the protest and why the Church as a whole should stand behind the protesters.
