This article was shared by a conservative Christian friend of mine, one who vocally argued during the campaign that Trump did not represent Christian values. It is written by a white evangelical pastor (though of a mostly black church) to the white evangelical community at large. Though we come from an evangelical tradition (Baptists), most of us likely do not identify with this group. But I share it here because A) those of us, like me, who are white can always use the reminders in this article, and B) even after this unbelievably contentious election, we all have friends who have perhaps not considered this point of view. Share this with them, politely, respectfully: not as a way to point fingers, but to give them a conservative perspective they had not perhaps considered.
