Injustice

This article from Sojourners, which is also the Forward to Jim Wallis's new book, "America's Original Sin", details both the personal a national shame and costs of America's ongoing racial inequality. And it serves as a poignant call: it is long past time for American Christians to step up and actively fight this national crisis. It is not enough to offer silent tolerance. It is not enough not to personally "be racist." If we are to ever succeed against the racial hatred embedded in the bones of our society, we must be "anti-racist": actively fighting the institutions and attitudes that the Justice Department estimates will put 1 in 3 black men in prison.
